Gamers For Humanity presents the:
Many thanks to all of the participants in our first annual SandBlast! Charity Volleyball Tournament. We had a gorgeous day provided for us, lots of sun, not too hot, and a playable amount of wind to deal with. A day of pool play and a double-elimination tournament left everyone with a lot of volleyball, and we raised right around $700 for Bishop Ella and the Lift Thy Name Up Higher food pantry (read more).
We had a lot of good players show up, and some very competitive matches. In the end, the Bumpin' Uglies managed to come back from a first round tournament loss, work their way through the lower bracket, and defeat the previously undefeated (in pool and tournament play) Randoms in two straight matches.
 The victorious Bumpin' Uglies.
Our thanks go out to all the players, Imprinted Sportswear for the excellent t-shirts, Harry's Custom Trophies, Jeremy Johnson and Ian Flynn for assisting with organization and event management respectively. Below are just a few pictures of the tournament--be sure to check back in a few days, and we'll have all of them uploaded. And if you're interested in finding out how the money we raised is going to be used, be sure to sign up for our newsletter for regular reports.
